Helping Hospice Patients Care for Their Pets
Since 2010 Caring Circle has been a proud participant in the groundbreaking national program, Pet Peace of Mind, that enables hospice patients to keep their pets at home with them throughout their journey. For many in hospice care, their pets offer unconditional love, acceptance, comfort, and companionship when it’s needed most.
Caring Circle understands the importance our patients’ pets have in their quality of life. We also understand the burdens of care that many patients face when meeting the needs of their pets. Pet Peace of Mind, funded primarily through donations, provides an array of services to help our patients care for their pets when they are no longer able to independently.
Pet Peace of Mind provides:
- Pet Food
- Cat litter
- Assistance with grooming
- Needed healthcare and vaccination support
- Placement assistance through work with Paws for Hope, Save a Stray and local humane societies
Through the Pet Peace of Mind program, patients are given the ability to enjoy every day with their four-legged family members without worry.
