Physicians: John Poindexter served in the Marines during the Korean conflict. Now 84 years old, he is very proud of this military service, which inspired many of his family members to follow suit in serving our country.

John Poindexter served in the Marines during the Korean conflict. Now 84 years old, he is very proud of his military service, which inspired many of his family members to follow suit in serving our country.

On a Monday in November, John was presented with a certificate of recognition for his military service, with a commendation read by Army veteran Ken Woods. At the end of the presentation, he and Ken saluted one another. John was surrounded by his loved ones, including seven of his grown children, his pastor, friends, and Hospice at Home team.

Although he was bed-bound, the celebration was a highlight for John, who frequently tells his Hospice aid how much it meant to him.
